The Dane County Farmer's Market is the largest farmers market in North America. It is nearly 3/4 of a mile of peddlers (over 150 vendors) selling their wares. If you like farmers market’s then this will knock your socks off. If you don’t like them, but want to see an absolutely amazing spectacle, then you should still check it out. Around 10,000 people show up to the farmer’s market every Saturday. If nothing else, it’s a great place to get breakfast!
The Farmers Market is every Saturday from 7am to 2pm on the Capitol square (about 8 blocks from the YAPC conference facilities). Therefore, it will be there both before and after YAPC.
A smaller version of the Farmers Market also runs Wednesday mornings through-out the summer. The Wednesday Farmers Market is a potential activity for the spouses program.
